i had this really insane nightmare last night. when i woke up, this is what i wrote down about it.

I just woke up from the most terrifying dream I’ve ever had:
There was a man - we’ll call him Bruce. Bruce worked for this large, evil company. He worked in a large, evil building on the 6th floor. I was working on the 4th or 5th floor, but that’s the only time I actually had a form; the rest of the dream I was just observing what happened. For some reason this company had told Bruce that they would need to watch over his son for a while, and I guess he was so caught up with whatever he was working on with them, that it didn’t matter. So, for a while, Bruce’s son was under the care of this woman and her son. This woman and her son were employed by this company to do the "dirty" things for them. She showed fake affection to Bruce’s son, leading him to love her and sort of forget about his dad, and then she killed him. She killed him because the company told her to. This happened in a short manner of time, and after a while, Bruce still thinks his son is okay. One day, Bruce feels something inside of him that makes him question the company. He is with some of the "big wigs" in an elevator, and he pushes the button to go to the 7th floor, but they don’t want him to. They don’t want him to see what’s up there. The elevator door opens, and after thinking about it a few times, he steps off. What he sees horrifies him. I don’t know what he saw, but it revealed to him that this company was evil, that they had killed his son, and he knew that the woman and her son had done this. The "big wigs" are mad that Bruce has found this out because they really wanted his cooperation, and are on their way to the 6th floor to try to stop him from leaving the building. Bruce opens a door to the service stairs and starts running down the stairs, somehow passing by floors 8 and 9, and then going downward. At about the 3rd or 4th floor he stops because he hears someone else in the stairs. It is the mother and her son, who have been sent to follow him. It feels very creepy the way that they are following him. Bruce runs out into the parking lot, and gets into his vehicle, which is a red bread truck. The woman and her son come up next to him on the left of his bread truck and get into some sort of jeep that has the top off. Bruce says to himself, "I didn’t realize I parked right next to her." There is a black car behind them that is going through the parking lot, and is momentarily blocking them from backing up. At the last moment, Bruce reaches out his left hand and grabs the woman’s son from her passenger seat as he is backing up. The woman was thinking to herself that this was a clever move. From this point on the woman’s son is wrapped up in a bread bag - like those plastic ones of Mrs. Baird’s that you buy at the grocery store. Bruce yells out to the woman, "If you want your son back, you’ll have to follow me. I’ll take you to a pocket (which in my dream, meant the edge of a cliff) and then you’ll have to throw him over." The guy drives away and the woman follows him. He is not driving a bread truck anymore, he is on a horse. In fact, it was never really a bread truck, but just the horse in a different form. It was night when they had first reached the parking lot, and Bruce led the woman for so long that it turned to day. Bruce had often traveled through this land. He had traveled to these places where no man had traveled - and these places were so beautiful and so wild that if you saw them, it made your eyes bleed. You had tears of blood. He was leading the woman to these places. All the time that he was leading her, in the background the paperchase was playing "I did a terrible thing", only the keyboards were the most prominent sound because they were being smashed on by some unseen player. The horse that Bruce was on didn’t run either. It traveled by jumping up in a big arc, and coming down, and the woman behind him, who was now on a horse, did the same. At one point during their journey, Bruce’s horse took the form of a bicycle, and Bruce was riding it in a bright yellow biochemical suit that covered his whole body, including his head and eyes, with his arms outstretched as he carried the boy wrapped up in the bread bag. (This was a very creepy and haunting picture for me for some reason and it makes me feel uneasy inside). Finally, they had been traveling for so long, and the keys of the keyboard were being played so hard, that Bruce’s eyes had begun to bleed. He was crying tears of blood because he had got to those most beautiful and wild places that were untouched by any other person. The woman behind him started to cry tears of blood too, and she looked around her everywhere and was overwhelmed. Finally, they came to the edge of a cliff in a very green place and the music had stopped. Bruce still had the woman’s son, but he didn’t hold the figure of an actual body anymore. The son was on a piece of canvas that was propped up before Bruce. (The "canvas" really wasn’t made of normal canvas. It was the sort of soft leather that you see on those pants that women buy that has the reptile texture). Although it wasn’t a body, it was still the son, just in a different form. Bruce looks at the woman as she just stands there and watches, the blood still running from both of their eyes, and he says to her, " You don’t know how much I have envied you." He envies her because she took his son away from him - winning his affection and spending his last moments with him before killing him. As he is saying this and other things which I can’t remember to her, he starts to pull at the canvas. He stretches it so bad that parts of it are hardly recognizable. He finally stretches the middle of the boy or canvas until it tears. All that is left on the canvas is a smeared figure of the boy’s eerie smile, stretched too far, and torn down the middle. Bruce looks up at the woman, the blood on her face, and she has a look on her face that is so horrific, it can’t be described. She says, "And you know what I have to do to you now." She rushes at Bruce, who is very complacent and does not put up a fight, as he has nothing left to live for, and throws him over the cliff.
